When you are starting embroidery and digitizing, things can be quite confusing. Here at DigitizingMadeEasy, we try and simplify things to make your learning experience with Hatch easier. If you have any Hatch questions, you can head on over to our Facebook group called Hatch Facts and we will be happy to help. Don’t be shy, there are many people in the group and chances are someone has asked the question or a similar question, and everyone is there to help.
One of the questions that we get from time to time is that people are having a hard time getting their designs to the machine, either via USB stick (also called a zip drive) or with the direct connection to the machine. Hatch makes everything simple and easy to do, so we have created this quick tip video to show you exactly how it is done.
The most difficult part is figuring out the letter for your zip drive or machine on your computer. To accomplish this, all you have to do is plug in your USB stick and wait a moment or two for your computer to pop up with the new drive, and it asks you what you want to do with the USB stick. You can then look at the files that you already have on it, but make sure you take note of the letter of the drive (e.g. H drive) so you have that information back inside Hatch. When you are ready, you can export your design to that drive letter, and then take the USB stick and put it into your machine! Its that easy!
If your embroidery machine has a cord that plugs in directly to your computer, once you turn on the machine you can see the drive letter, and you can send it directly to the machine without using a USB stick.
Check out the video and see how easy Hatch can send designs to your machine or USB stick.
