In this class, we learn more about applique – practice, practice, practice! We create 3 different flowers with completely different shapes and then add a “freehand” applique sun and clouds (not using the freehand tool, we use the applique tool, but we don’t have a picture for the sun and clouds, we are creating them as we go). We organize our design so that it is ready to stitch out using the COMBINE APPLIQUE TOOL. Lots of great applique work on this simple design! We use the create applique tool, regular digitizing tools (closed shape), and learn how to create perfect curves by perfecting the “less is better” rule when plotting nodes- I show you what works and exactly why it works – and we also use the block tool on the stems of the flowers.
