Description

Welcome to our first lesson for Level 2 in the Digitizing Made Easy series. In this lesson we will start our journey discussing the attributes of the Satin Stitch.

Understanding the theory of a Satin Stitch is making sure a solid foundation is laid with the variables that make up this stitch type. This lesson will cover topics such as stitch length, densities, understanding short stitches in relation to stitch length and assessing shape angles base on the width of the stitch.

Starting with basic Satin shapes and progressing to the most difficult, we will learn how to digitize each of them using specific tools within the software.  Interactively learning more as you progress at your own speed, the ideas is to practice the repetitive steps within creating objects so that you will never be stumped with creating your own designs.
We will also interactively digitize corners with very sharp angles, learning the theory of how to section and path an object that the software would not properly generate.

This lesson is the foundation of the Satin Stitch and will prepare you for the next lessons to come.
The run time on this video is approximately 40-60 minutes depending on the software. Because these are interactive lessons, the user will be following along, pausing and playing thru the process of digitizing the exercises. You can expect the time spent completing all the exercises within this and all our lessons will undoubtedly take many hours. Please keep in mind that there are many factors which will determine how fast each individual is, remember this is not a race.
